Head Teacher's Welcome

Live in Faith, Learn in Joy

Executive Head teacher: Mrs M Sanderson

Welcome

Dear Parents/Carers and Visitors,

On behalf of the students, staff and Governors of St. Saviour's Catholic Primary School, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome!

We are a happy, vibrant school that is fully inclusive.

We promote a culture of faith, independence, respect, inclusion, confidence and curiosity through our school values and celebrate every child’s unique talents.

High expectations

Our high expectations of behaviour and attitudes to learning are shared and we work together to support our children to achieve their full potential academically, spiritually and socially. The dedicated staff strive to ensure that each child is appropriately challenged, feels supported, is excited to learn and achieve their best.

Our Beehaviour code was created by the children who decided what the three positive Beehaviour expectations for the school would be.  The Mission is not a passive statement but actions through which we live our lives in school.

Unique outdoor environment

Our school has a unique outdoor environment with large playing areas, separate sports pitch, access to communal allotments, greenhouse, and adjoining woodland used for forest school sessions. Of course, we also benefit from our close proximity to local beaches, woodlands and chalk downlands in an Area of Outstanding Beauty.

Spacious indoor learning provision

We are fortunate to have spacious classrooms, separate learning spaces. These facilities include the classroom, a separate cloakroom with an additional outside area for learning and recreation.

Working together

We recognise the importance of fostering a healthy home-school partnership. As parents/carers, you know your child best and so we actively encourage regular communication and contact between home and school through parent meetings, consultation evenings and curriculum information workshops.  We use email, Dojos messaging and texting.

Celebration and Challenge

We encourage children to face challenges and celebrate their achievements and successes in all aspects of their development.  We inform parents of these milestones (certificate of achievements, Stars of the Week, Headteacher awards) and encourage the children to become independent and curious learners.

Feedback valued

We hope that our website will provide you with the information needed and an opportunity to share our school mission: a love of life and a love of learning.  If you have any comments or suggestions to help improve our website, please give us feedback: contributions from parents/carers and the wider community are greatly valued.

Further information

If you require further information or would like to arrange to talk with me, please contact us via the office, e-mail or telephone and we will be delighted to help you.

Also, I would like to invite you to view our school video - the winner of our promotional video competition- well done Year 6.
