Sports Premium

We believe PE & Sport plays an important role in making our school vision statement a reality with the potential to develop, nurture and challenge all.

Through PE & Sport our children learn to develop the qualities of respect, discipline, resilience, communication, team work, and ambition, leading to improved concentration, attitude, and academic achievement.

Since 2013, the government has provided additional grant to schools to improve the provision of PE and Sport both within the school day and beyond.

We want to ensure:

• high quality teaching and learning through a progressive and enriched PE curriculum 

• provide more competitive opportunities for children

• promote active learning  and healthy living with increased daily activities

• support staff development and expertise through training opportunities

• work with our local community providers (West Wight Sports Centre) and Sports Partnership to broaden students experiences

The Sports Premium Strategy and the impact on raising standards is reported to governors and evaluated to ensure best provision.  Please read the statement below for more information.
