The School day

Live in Faith, Learn in Joy

John 10:10  I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

 Start of the Day

The gates open for students from 8.30am

The children are greeted by a member of staff and make their way to their classrooms.

The registers are taken promptly at 8.40am.

Any student arriving in the classroom after 8.40 am will be marked as late.

Any student arriving once the gates are closed must enter the building through the main entrance and report to the school office.

 End of the Day

All students leave their classroom at the end of the day at 3.00 pm.

Reception, Years 1,  2, 3 and 4 students must be collected by a known adult; they will not be allowed to leave with siblings.

Years 5 and 6 students may leave on their own only if the school has been specifically notified by parents.

Please wait on the playground to collect your child.

Please pick up your child promptly. It can be distressing for a child to wait when their peers have left the school.  We understand that problems can arise, and if you phone us to let us know, we can reassure your child that you are on your way.

This is open to all children who attend the school but they must be registered and places booked in advance.

Please contact the Nursery manager.

After School Clubs

During the year, there are a number of school clubs that usually run between 3.00 pm - 4.00 pm.   Places need to be booked in advance. A range of clubs include: Golf, Running, Multi-skills, Lego Design Challenge, Art & Crafts which change over the year. A small charge is made to cover costs. Please contact the school office for further details.

Travel to school

We encourage independence and road safety awareness as well as promoting healthy choices.  Children are encouraged to walk, cycle and scooter to school.  There is a bike/ scooter store on site. Children MUST wear a helmet if using a bike/scooter.

Parking

Parents/carers are very welcome to use the Church car park. If dropping off children, please drive to the Church and then let the children out where they can walk down safely between the hedge and the fence to enter the school gate.

There is limited parking on the roads, but these roads are narrow and parked cars make it difficult for others (cars and people) to pass safely. Please do not park on the yellow lines outside of school as this is dangerous for unaccompanied children.
