Volunteering

Some parents come to school to help with a variety of tasks such as supporting creative activity days, share afternoons, and  reading practice. Usually volunteers work with individuals or small groups in classes. Other parents help when the children are taken on educational visits outside school. Please ask at the school office for more information about how you can help.

How could you help?

• Fund raising - join the PTFA

• Become a class representative

• Listen to readers

• Help children practice spelling, number facts

• Help in the library

• Supporting after school clubs e.g, PE, Art and crafts, cookery, gardening, computing, Lego

• Playing games

• Art and crafts

• Cooking

• Sewing

• Coming with us on visits

• Be involved as a Parent Governor

• Refurbishment of outside play environment

Sometimes just being there is what is needed!

What do you need to do next?

To work in school as a volunteer, please speak to any member of staff. All help is very much appreciated.

Volunteers will need to be checked by the Disclosure & Barring Service. There is no cost to the volunteer, please speak to the school office for further information.
